Get your head in the game! You are so deserving of this world title, but so are the other 9 surfers who can still challenge you for it!
I know you are a Pro and everywhere you go people love you and shout out to you “Joel, I want to have your babies”, “I love you Joel”, “Your style is so smooth Joel… Just like you, mmmm”!
What ever! You can win this and that is all you need to think about!
Peace.

what a pity that swell came too late to Mundaka. Look at this video recorded on 21st October. Within these conditions PArko would have won Mundaka contest:
You probably hear so much adivce from so many different people telling you to do this and do that in reagrds to your surfing.
I won’t tell you what to do because you already know and feel what you need to do.
However I will say that surfing changed my life! I was 112kg prop studying at uni when asked on my first surfing trip and it completely changed my outlook on life. I wanted that slim stomach, I wanted to ride sick waves, share a bbq meal, beers and stories of the day surfing that was. I have just finished my degree I weigh 83kgs and I try to get to coast to practice my surfing as often as I can as living in this beachless place called ‘Canberra’ has it’s restrictions. The surfing culture/industry/identity makes me happy and I will pursue a career working in it.
Go have fun dude and continue to do best what you always do!

Yeah Parko!!
Good job getting a result at Portugal – well done mate! Your surfing and maturity/mental game has been outstanding this year – stay positive – one win at a time and your goal is in reach.
Best of luck to you, your family and support crew(ya big legend Louie!)

Alright, so it is down to a two-horse race. This is what seperates the men from the mice. Are you a mouse Joel? No well prove it.
Egads man, you can win this. Fandango is trying to be scene stealer, don’t get me wrong, he obviuosly deserves this title as much as you do… But for some strange cosmic reason, I want you to win it. But not if you are going to be a PUSSY!.. Meow Joel… Meow?
As I said on the October 15 2009 at 7:58pm – “Get you head in the game!”… I am not sure if I need to use quotations marks if I am using my own quote from a previuos entry, why do people say that somethings sticks like ‘white on rice’, I had brown rice last night!
I digress. Win the fucking title Joel… Write that on the nose of your board.
