I'm from Brazil, live in a town called Recife (wich means Reef in Portuguese) and our city is the number one shark attacks killing rates in the world. To surf we have to drive at least 45 minutes to scape the sharks. And we surf a lot, so imagine how stoked we have to be to leave 3:10 am twice a week, drive for 1 hour, just to ride some "more or less" waves, and then came back to work. Surf is a big thing for us ! Big riders Carlos Burle and Eraldo Gueiros are from Recife, and they started surfing in a nice reef break we have called Serrambi. The reason I'm writting is to tell you that you represent the things that are great about surfing. When we watch you surfing, we see someone who seems to be really having fun, you always have a smile on the face, even though we know competitive surf is tough. Your surfing and your stile are completely inspirational ! You make surfing look beautiful ! Know that you have a bunch of fans here on the Northeast of Brazil. Wish you the best ! LULA PS: The Hobgod brothers are here for a WQS contest at the island of Fernando de Noronha. Unfortunately they didn't get lucky to cacht a nice swell. But Noronha is one of the best places to surf in Brazil. Hi there, Parko.
